Only 13% of immigrants in the city receive Medicare or Medicaid, compared with 25% of US born Gainesville residents in 2019 as reported by the New American Economy, October 2021. Would like to see websites - well publicized- on clinics for physical and mental health in the lower income areas where there are few services and little or no insurance. The combination of lacking transportation, insurance or monies for health care, and lack of basic knowledge is very detrimental to our low/middle income citizens. 0 replies
